Independence Day. July 4th, 2004
It's funny, my California experience began in Los Angeles on the 17th of April, 1978 as a five year old child.
Traveling in an orange VW bus, we set out and visited 48 states, practically every national park and each major city the United States.
For more than a year we traveled. Meeting new friends every day. People. Everyday people. from all walks of life. Seeing some of the most
beautiful places on earth. From Yellowstone to NYC. The everglades to Niagara falls. it was epic.......

Los Angeles, California - USA - June 24th, 2003
So I'm back in LA. Many people ask me why I have returned. Why leave NZ? And
why LA? That's a good question. But I think it comes back to the same reasons I
left 15 years ago. Coincidentally ½ my life ago. ;-) Challenge, adventure,
and something different. For something else. For something bigger. For something
not safe. Something not easy. It's about opportunity. It's about being in the
center of things....

Black Rock City, Nevada - Burning Man 2002 ! - August / Sept 2003
Burning Man. Burning Man is a radical experiment in individual
freedom, community, human expression, love, art and music. For 2 weeks out of the
year Black Rock City forms on a prehistoric Lake bed in Nevada 2 hours from Reno.
There are streets, a newspaper, dozens of radio stations, a wireless lan over the
entire Playa and around 30,000 beautiful residents. It’s a high tech event. This is a
cashless society. No vendors. Gift economy. It’s an extreme camping experience. It can be
100 degrees or 40 degrees. Rain, dust storms. Anything can happen. There are hundreds
of clubs which go off night and day. Clubs with crazy themes and mega sound systems which can be heard miles away. I have danced at dozens of clubs for daze on end and never heard the same track twice

Pre Burn - Los Angeles, San Diego - August 2003
Annie, Sara, Hugh and I head off to Los Angeles on Sunday… …Annie and I peel off and go to eat at "Cha, Cha, Cha". Soooooo good.
Sara had a dance rehearsal and also we were slated to hit Vinyl in Hollywood. (THE Deep House spot on the west coast) Juan Nunez drops a super phat set….. Vinyl is like church. The night is called “Deep” and the man behind it is Marques Wyatt.
The sound system at Deep must be one of the best I have ever experienced. People have a 5 foot dancing radius and are getting down!

Wellington, NZ - December 2001
Arriving in Wellington I felt great relief. Just happy to be home safely and get to spend time with my mom. As a bonus my sister was due to arrive from South Carolina in a few days. My mom’s new house is now well and truly finished and has an unbelievable view over the botanical gardens, the city and the harbor. We had a fantastic Christmas with lots of friends and family. In my mom’s house the champagne flows all day and night and there is a lot of fun and laughter.

Everyone greets you with "Namaste."
It means:" I honor that place in you where the whole Universe resides. And when I am in that place in me and you are in that place in you, there is only one of us." What a beautiful thought!!!
If you can't be at peace here. you can't be at peace. it is really incredible. It's impossible to describe the effect the mountains and the beauty that surrounds you has on your soul.

New Delhi, Jai Pur - India - October, 2001
The Taj was simply amazing. I rose at 6am to catch the sunrise at the taj. The Taj was built by nearly 20,000 people and took 23 years.
This cat built this thing as a shrine to his wife who died giving birth to his 14th child! He was devastated. She must have been quite a lady. The marble is so pure that it conducts light very well and it changes color all day.
